Herefordshire City of Sanctuary are sponsors of the film ‘ISLAND OF THE HUNGRY GHOSTS’ about Australia’s biggest offshore refugee detention centre. At its first showing on 2nd March 2019 Aboudee, who has achieved a remarkable fluency in English and confidence since arriving from Syria, explained how Hereford City of Sanctuary has supported his family. He has made a good start towards his ambition to become an orthopedic surgeon.
